Keith T Jenkins is a nerd, a handy man, a carpenter, a computer network and systems troubleshooter - in fact he is a modern "teknon." For those who are not Bible College educated, the word teknon literally means a man of tools. It is used in the old, common Greek language to mean a handy man, a general craftsman, a man of skills, but in the case of Joseph, the father of the Messiah, it is usually translated as "Carpenter." So, Jenkins may accurately say, I am a Jewish teknon whose king is a Jewish teknon. Jenkins is also an author of Science Fiction books and of Theological studies; but always the nerd, he is looking for the truth, not what someone is selling as truth. This also makes him a pretty good student of Culture and Politics. If you have a question on any topic, and if your question is legitimate, let's talk.
Keith is also a father of 5 and grandfather of 12, most of whom live in the San Antonio area, and all of whom still wisely reside in Texas. He worked a long time as a carpenter's helper, then as a Carpenter, then as a Steel Carpenter, for a soldier for a while, in many kitchens of many kinds of food - BBQ work was the best of those - and even as a Cowboy long ago. In 1995 Keith Graduated from International Bible College with a Diploma in Basic Biblical Studies; because the state had changed the rules of who could confer degrees, so IBC could not offer the degrees at the time - though the work was the same. It was so much the same that the Assembly of God seminary said they would take our grads, "no questions asked." Not bad, eh?
After more than 65 years on this Earth, he would tell you that this is the most important thing you could ever know and do. Take a look!
I don't know who is looking in on this, and I want everyone to be able to get it, so I will try to put it into language that is simple because, as I see it, the message is simple. If it were not simple enough, only intelligent people could enter Heaven, and that does not really seem like a very godly idea. And besides, who wants to spend Eternity with too many snooty smart people? So, here goes.
1. I am a dirt bag sinner worthy of death and Hell, and so are you. (Romans 3:23 NIV) “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
2.
My sin and yours will lead each of us into the Eternal Prison of Hell – the “second death.” (Romans 6:23 NIV) “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”3. Even though we are guilty and dirty, Jesus gave his life to save us. (Romans 5:8 NIV) “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
4. Finally, if we truly believe Jesus’ payment of death on the cross was for our sin and give our lives over to Him as master, we will be saved. (Romans 10:9-10 NIV) “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”

Traditions of Men is a new series about the fact that virtually all churches and denominations have some Traditions that supercede the Doctrines of Scripture, and help the believer examine those.
